Classic Game Room HD – BREAKOUT for Atari 2600 review

Awwwwww BREAKOUT!Classic Game Room was the FIRST classical video diversion examination uncover upon the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with brand new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out the examination of BREAKOUT for the Atari 2600 VCS video diversion console. Use the Atari paddle controllers to rebound the puzzling visitor round in to line after line of multi colored blocks. Sounds simple, though it isn’t. This overwhelming diversion from the 1970’s is the loyal retro arcade, coin-op, aged propagandize classical video diversion which is value …

    Suggestions:
  1. true, emulation will NOT do this game justice.
    great review Mark.

  2. awesome original game. some imitators don’t seem to have the ‘left-right’ directional sides of the paddle.

  3. I have Super Break Out and I liked how they bult a story around such a simple and fun concept.

There was a NASA Astronaut who was returning to his base from a routine resource transport mission, when on the way back he spots what seems like a never ending rainbow barrier. And with his life support systems failing he must break through the barrier as quick as possible so he could get back to his base. It was pretty cool. There was even a book and record based on this.

  4. The first Breakout sucks because it ends after you clear the 2nd board. Super Breakout goes for as long as you can keep playing.

  5. sadly, i dont have paddle controllers, id goot this game though

  6. i love this games maybe even one of my favorites of all time

  7. that game you said that starts with an A. I think it’s ariknord or something well it’s for the NES

  8. An emulator will do it justice. All you have to do is get an adapter that will allow you to use Atari paddles or controllers. Not a bad video man. But I honestly never much cared for this game.

  9. I’d love to see an Arkanoid review. It was indeed released on several consoles, including the NES, C64 and Amiga.

  10. I’d love to see an Arkanoid review. It was indeed released on several consoles, including the NES, C64 and Amiga.

  11. Thanks for all this classic video game goodness. The god’s are pleased.
